Arrivals: Little Boots – Motorway

Throughout 2012 Victoria Hesketh aka Little Boots, the selfmade electropop songstress, teased her second album with some great tracks and high profile collaborations. Via series of mixtapes and singles we’ve learned that Simian Mobile Disco’s James Ford, Hercules and Love Affair’s Andy Butler and most recently Maya Jane Coles borrowed their talent to relaunch Viktoria into more alternative realm of electronic music after her false start of a debut. All singles have proven that this is where she fits the best, rather than the mainstream.

Finally Little Boots has announced Nocturnes. Victoria’s second LP arrives the first week of May. The announcement came with album’s opening track, the dark electro-pop journey entitled Motorway.  The track has been produced by UNKLE’s and ex-DFA Tim Goldworthy, who previously worked with The Rapture and produced Cut Copy’s amazing In Ghost Colours.

Previous singles, Shake and Everynight I Say A Prayer, are also featured on Nocturnes’ tracklist.

Arrivals: Alan Braxe feat The Spimes – Time Machine

The authors of this 80’s romantic synth pop affair are the veterans of the French house scene, Alan Braxe (of Stardust fame), Madji’k and Romuald (these two monsieurs go together by the name of The Spimes). This instantly lovable and plush delicacy  gets you in the mood for some romance. Braxe’s signature filtered house production (minus the beat) provides a perfect environment for Romuald’s sultry half-whisper, that will make Sebastien Tellier eat his own facial hair out of jealousy.

Time Machine is available to download for free at Scion Audio/Visual
