Amid the buzz around the second posthumous Michael Jackson album, the guys at DFA Records released this “Off The Wall” inspired indie disco gem. Ever wondered how The King of Pop would sound backed by LCD Soundsystem’s rhythm section? No? Here’s the answer anyway.

The legendary bunch of people from New York better known as DFA, seem to be finally picking up after the period of post-LCD Soundsystem blues. Great albums from Factory Floor, Holy Ghost!, Larry Gus have just been released. Also, under the 12″ tab, a split single between DFA’s two flag artists, The Juan Maclean and Shit Robot, made a surprise appearance recently. Both tracks are simply amazing. The Juan MacLean’s Feel like moving is an another kraut-disco odd-yssey featuring Nancy Hwang on vocals, as usual, and probably their poppiest track yet.

Shit Robot’s track brilliantly compliments the other side of 12″ . We Gotta Love  is somehow funkier and more laidback and features soulful vocals by the  French-American comedian/musician, Reggie Watts.

Both outfits had brought a single each earlier this year.  Shit Robot’s Feels Real featuring The Rapture’s Luke Jenner is definitely worth checking out [link below]. Perhaps both of them are teasing long-awaited LP’s.

Out on DFA and digitally on Itunes now.

Arrivals: Burial Feat Four Tet and Thom Yorke – Ego/Mirrors

Some dreams come true. Sometime they come true even without being dreamed of … It had only been announced few day ago that dubstep wizard teamed up with Four Tet and Radiohead’s frontman for a split 12″ and both track are already floating the web. The vinyl will hit the shop in few days. I so want one, but it’s sold out. No surprise(s) here.  The material was premiered during Four Tet’s 2-hour session Floating points for the Rince FM. Both, “Ego” and “Mirrors” are a pure delight. I hope that this release heralds Burial’s new album. Fingers and ears crossed. 2011 is getting better and better. In music, that is.
