Arrivals: SebastiAn – Moi (Demo)

sebastian

From the amazing Ed Rec, Vol. X compilation released in celebration ten years of the cult Ed Banger label. Cassius, Justice, Busy P, Breakbot, Mr Oizo among others are on the roster. But the biggest goosebumps injection comes from the dramatic Moi provided by the master of the electro drama, Sebastian. The intimacy of a French chanson meets the pathos ala 70’s science fiction soundtracks. Je t’aime, monsieur.

bloc-party

Nervous, slightly cacophonous and an absolute banger…  Bloc Party’s bassy new single is the hottest indie dance track around. And its riotous video is as magnetic as the track. Check it out on Vevo here

Ratchet will appear on band’s upcoming EP called, Nextwave Sessions, out in August.

Washed Out

Ernest Greene aka Washed Out is preparing to release his second long player on the legendary SubPop label. Together with Toro y Moi and Neon Indian, Greene is one of the big three of post-glofi survivors, artists who moved on from the blogosphere’s own genre double christened as chillwave/glo-fi. His phenomenal debut EP Life of leisure fitted perfectly into the late 80’s nostalgia filled indie electronic movement. His first LP’s was surprisingly stripped own, ascetic effort with flashes of brilliant songwriting. Within and Without will be followed by what seems to appear to be a lushly produced effort.  It All Feels Rights showcases Greene’s ambitions to combine 70’s pop melodic with delicate but rich production. The single promotes Washed Out’s new album, Paracosm scheduled for 3 of August.
