Pompeya swieci tryumfy! Is fanki! All the end of year charts always have one thing in common for me anyway, they’re the best indication of what I have forgotten to include in my very own top 100. This is the case with the playful tune by Poolside and Burial’s epic “Loner” this time around… KInd of embarrassed now, especially about the latter one. Steed Lord’s presence in your chart just put the biggest smile on my face, even if it’s only #72 (versus #3 chez moi ;-). Cinema Pour Adulte sounds a bit like some of early Air stuff, Yuna’s song is just a pure pleasure and Willy Moon just barking mad. Love that video! Jamie Lidell’s new single for me was one of this year’s biggest disappointments and positions 58-59-60 are the shelter for the songs that couldn’t be any further from my taste in music but that’s partially why I love your end of year ranking Mr Czarnecki, they are never ever predictable and accordingly to your blog’s name – never snobby! P.S. Buranovskiye Babushki!!!!!!!!! ❤
Buranovskiye Babushki are the essence of no-snobism. Pompeya are also from Russia and so is, partially, Ivan Dorn. The Eastern parts of Europe have been generous this year.
And with Steed Lord and Major Lazer we now have the total of 4 songs in common 🙂
