Italo disco revival at its best.

Arrivals: Kidstreet – X

An enthusiastic adolescent confusion  bathing in a foamy synth sounds. One bit of the melody shamelessly sounds like Spook’s rendition of Grace Jones’ “Feel up” that features Roisin Murphy. But we can forgive them, can’t we?

and here’s the one I’m talking about.

Arrivals: Gus Gus – Selfoss

The most weird coincidence happened last Saturday. The world supposed to end that day at 6:00 pm. Around the same time the Icelandic volcano, Grimsvotn erupted. And electronic group Gus Gus, also from Iceland, unleashed their fifth album. The opening instrumental from this LP, entitled “Arabian Horse”, is a perfect soundtrack for a electric storm heralding the unlikely apocalypse. Electronic pulse accompanied with calm humming, disrupted by a sporadic lightning-like mini explosions, approaches slowly, before hitting the ground with the massive sonic wave to leave behind nothing but, unusually organic, accordion solo. Epic!
